RAK7246 LoRaWAN Developer Gateway Features Raspberry Pi Zero W

RAKwireless, a leading provider of IoT solutions all over the world, announced the release of their newest RAK7246 LoRaWAN gateway and RAK7246G LoRa gateway that best suit cost-effective projects for prototype design, concept demonstrations, and development evaluation.

We use LoRaWAN gateways for outdoor, meant to be deployed in the field usually cost several hundred dollars, But it is costly, so companies also offer cheaper gateways for indoor use that can be used by developers.

Recently RAKwireless has now worked on providing much cheaper indoor/developer gateways with their RAK7246 and RAK7246G LoRAWAN developer gateways with the latter adding GPS. RAK7246 is available. The RAK7246 is a LoRaWAN™ Developer gateway is the model without the GPS function. It is a device composed of a the RAK2246 Pi HAT LoRaWAN™ Concentrator module and Raspberry Pi Zero W. The RAK2246 Pi HAT is based on a Semtech SX1308 chip, which allows for simultaneous reception over 8 LoRa channels, which cover the entirety of the international high-frequency LoRaWAN™ space. The RAK7246 is an ideal choice for prototype design, concept verification and demonstrations, development evaluation and other scenarios. It is developer-friendly due to its minimalistic design that reduces cost and allows for easily accessing the internals. It is easy to set-up, which makes it a good choice for both experienced and novice LoRa specialists.
